\nIt is with huge regret that we have taken the necessary decision to postpone the 8th Japan Film Festival of San Francisco until next year, considering the health and wellbeing of our staff, filmmaker guests and audiences. Thank you for your understanding and continued support in these unprecedented times.<\/p>\n
\nJapan Film Festival of San Francisco is hosted by SUPERFROG Project, a San Francisco based 501(c)(3)non-profit organization. The mission of the organization is to inform the American public about the diverse uniqueness of Japanese popular culture, by means of funding, producing, distributing, and exhibiting film, art and music projects, and by promoting them through various media and year-round events. Main guests in the past have included Masato Harada (director), Kaori Momoi (actor\/director), Shunji Iwai (director), Miwa Nishikawa (director), Mitsutoshi Tanaka (director), Shinsuke Sato (director), Tadanobu Asano (Actor), Yuki Furukawa (actor), Tokyo Girls\u2019 Style (vocal and dance group), Koji Morimoto (Animator) and many more.<\/p>\n

\nNEW PEOPLE<\/a>, located in historical Japantown in San Francisco, consists of a movie theater, fashion and beauty retailers, and event spaces. Since its grand-opening in 2009, NEW PEOPLE has presented the latest Japanese contents including film, fashion, music, game\/IT and much more. In 2013, Japan Film Festival of San Francisco launched at the NEW PEOPLE Cinema as the first and only Japanese film festival in the Bay Area. <\/p>\n
