This documentary follows the incredible 10 years of two families who have children with the very rare, inherited disorder called “AADC Deficiency” that typically appears within the first year of life. Only about 100 patients with this condition have been described in the medical literature worldwide. These children are missing the AADC enzyme which is necessary for the production of important chemical messengers in the brain and nervous system. The film captures the miraculous journey of three children with the condition in Japan going through cutting-edge treatment: gene therapy. Sponsored and English subtitled by JVTA.
